What COVID-19 Protocols does My Preschool Fair have in place? Is it safe to attend an event like this?
Before COVID-19, My Preschool Fair has been mindful of harboring a safe environment for exhibitors and families. The most important being allowing fresh air to flow in and out of the space. Since COVID-19, we are especially mindful of the necessary behaviors to keep the space safe for everyone. We encourage our exhibitors to keep their space disinfected with periodic wipe downs over the the three-hour period, providing hand sanitizer throughout the fair, and controlling the number of families at their booth at one time. The beauty of all of this is, preschools are well aware of how to sanitize their space and the importance of following COVID-19 protocols, where necessary. There is no need to be afraid to attend this event. If you or your child are feeling ill or have a cough, please do not attend. If you are healthy and really want to attend but feel a little uneasy, just wear a mask and join us, we won't give you the side eye. Promise.

How much does it cost to be a vendor at the local preschool fairs?
Prices may vary, but usually range from $125. to $375. per vendor. Each exhibitor is expected to provide their own six foot table, chair(s) and linen. We do offer table rental for a fee and there is an added fee for electrical hookup. See the registration form for details.  As an exhibitor, your school or business will be featured on this website as an exhibitor and there will be a link to your website. Our exhibitors also receive a discounted rate to advertise in The Preschool Journal.

What is The Preschool Journal?
The Preschool Journal is a full color publication guide that each parent, who attends the fair, will receive. The journal will also be distributed to family focused businesses in the region of that particular preschool fair, prior to and following the event, where available. Highlights about what to look for in a preschool, separation anxiety and similar articles are featured in the journal. Local businesses that are relevant to parents of preschoolers also advertise in the journal. To learn more about the publication, visit the journal page. You are not required to exhibit at the preschool fair in order to advertise in the journal. We are open to one or both. To register to advertise in the preschool fair journal, start here.

Most exhibits are free for small preschools or businesses like ours, why does it cost to serve as a vendor at this event?
There is a high cost associated with producing each Preschool Fair. Those costs often include: venue rental, table and linen rentals, advertising, and permit and insurance fees. It is our mission to serve as a resource for families. With that said, it is important that this event is free for the community. As the organizers, we are also dedicated to keeping the exhibitor rate easy and affordable. You'll be glad that you were a part of this event.

We are non profit organization and do not have the funding to pay to exhibit, what can we do? To be fair to our schools and businesses, who are financially committed, we are unable to offer exhibitor spots at no cost. However, as a non profit, we will work with you. In lieu of exhibitor cost, we can offer a discounted rate, ask for an in kind  donation of volunteer services, raffle prizes, gift bags and giveaways. Your contribution in some manner will lend to a successful event. Your non profit status must be verified. Contact us with any further inquiries.

What does my fee include?

As an exhibitor at the preschool fair, you are given a low cost opportunity to market your school or business to to families in the select city and surrounding areas. As an added incentive, your school or business will be featured on this website as an exhibitor and there will be a link to your website. Consider the value of one new customer for your business.

What happens if my school or business is unable to attend due to unforseen events? Can I get a refund?
No. Due to our operating budget, My Preschool Fair does not issue any refunds. When you register to exhibit, we are counting on your school or business to be in attendance so we do not offer refunds. You may inquire about receiving a credit to exhibit at the next preschool fair, however.

Can my school partner with our sister location and split the cost?
Yes. However, only one payment will be received and there can only be one table supplied and one listing on the website. There is an additional cost of $40. to be listed separately. Please send an email to mypreschoolfair@gmail.com to inform us about your plans.

We're going to need more space. Can I reserve two booths right next to each other?
Yes. Your school or business may reserve two booths for the event. You will need to process two separate transactions to  reserve two booths.

Once we receive your registration, we will confirm with you. Your booth will be two by not including a divider so that it is

one big booth.

Can my school or business provide items for the gift bags?
Yes. We prefer an actual item like water bottles, pens and other goodies. There is a fee of $60. to include your items, if you are not already exhibiting, and you must provide 100 for the gift bags. If you want to include fliers, contact us about placing an ad in the journal, instead. Send an email to mypreschoolfair@gmail.com

Do you allow multiple industry types to exhibit at your events?
Yes. My Preschool Fair is about presenting options, not locking out the competition. With that said, we do

monitor how many exhibitors in one category are participating and make a call to close registration for that

particular industry.

Why does My Preschool Fair charge a $100 "No Show" fee for exhibitors?
After much contemplation, we have decided that it is best that we charge a "no show" fee due to numerous schools and organizations simply not showing up on the day of the event. It is a huge disservice to the families, who are attending the event to be presented with an empty booth. It is an eye sore. The My Preschool Fair team counts on each registered exhibitor to be present as it adds value to the overall event.

Can I write a check to pay for registration to become a vendor at this event?
No. Online payment is the best form of payment at this time. However, starting in 2019, we do accept check payments. The cutoff

for a check payment is 2 weeks before the event date. Send an email to mypreschoolfair@gmail.com or  Go here to register online.

How many people do you expect to attend your event?
Our target is to attract over 100 families at this event. Each year, our attendance grows. To help us reach this goal, we have partnered with Valley Publications, local businesses, Jenn’s List, Macaroni Kid, Red Tricycle, The Preschool Journals,  LA Talk Radio, LA Parent, KHTS, Meetups, SoCal Moms, our exhibitors and MOPS to help spread the word.

How many other schools from my area are exhibiting?
The list of exhibitors is updated as the school and business registrations come in. After years of producing the preschool fairs, it is our experience that schools usually wait, almost until the last minute to register. We do our best to manage this situation in two ways: increasing the exhibitor rate 1 month before the event and closing registration 10 days before the event. Once the doors close, you are free to plan to exhibit the following year. With that said, if your organization has the staff available to exhibit on the event date, do not wait to register. To stay up-to-date about who's exhibiting at your preschool fair, visit this page often.

The exhibitor rate for my city location has increased, why did the price increase?
My Preschool Fair offers an exceptionally valuable rate to our exhibitors. However, we do increase the exhibitor rate usually about one month before the event date. Those, who register early, usually experience the lower exhibitor rate. You know the saying, "The early bird catches the worm."

I have questions and would like to speak to someone, what is the number to call?
We're glad that you are interested in learning more about My Preschool Fair, however, we recommend that you review our FAQs page, first, then send an email to mypreschoolfair@gmail.com. Email is the best way to communicate with us.

Our school/organization paid to advertise in the preschool journal, however, the journal was not distributed at the preschool fair as promised, can we get a refund?
My Preschool Journal is committed to serving as a resource to the community. It is our intention to distribute the journal at the preschool fair as well as in the surrounding community. If the preschool journal is not distributed at the preschool fair, we are not able to offer a  refund since your ad has already been placed in the journal. The journal staff will ensure that the journal is distributed throughout the community and will reach out to you to mail the agreed amount of copies to you. Postage must be provided by you. The journal is also available in digital format, to view your ad, go here.

My school or business cannot afford to exhibit at your preschool fair, is it OK if I show up and pass out fliers or information about my organization?
Over the years, we've noticed a trend, SOLICITORS showing up to our events and passing out information about their organization. We've been nice about this in the past but have received complaints from our "registered" exhibitors, who find it inconsiderate to those, who have paid to have a booth at our events. With that said, as of January 2019, we no longer allow soliciting at our fairs. Anyone, who is caught or is found soliciting at our preschool fair will be asked to leave. Soliciting will not be tolerated. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Would you give me a little information about the fair this year. Last year there weren’t a lot of preschools attending and the number of parents wasn’t that high either. Do you know what the list is like this year?  I wouldn’t mind giving it another try but need a bit additional info.

The Preschool Fair is an indoor community-wide open house for families with preschool to early elementary aged children. The first year is usually smaller, in our case. For example, when we launched The Santa Clarita Preschool Fair five years ago, we only had 8 exhibitors and a handful of parents. The key is consistency. To date, that preschool fair alone attracts over 30 exhibitors and at least 200 families.

To view our current list of exhibitors visit this page.

It is good to remember that our preschool fairs are not expos. Our goal is not to attract thousands of parents or have over 60 exhibitors. The preschool fair is a concentrated community event, which will not usually attract a huge crowd. It is a very concentrated niche .
