Mini Snowman Craft

Brrr! The cold and rainy season is here. With snow capped mountains and frigid temps, kids are spending more time indoors. Today, with our partners at Lakeshore Learning, we're bringing you the latest craft ideas to keep your little ones busy. The mini snowman craft is appropriate for: preschool - 6th grade / 3 - 11 years

You will need:
  • White air-dry clay

  • Flexible Foam Shapes

  • Collage Buttons

  • Pipe Stems

  • Wikki Stix Class Pack

  • Wiggly Eyes

  • Colored Feathers

  • Best-Buy School Glue

Directions
  1. Cut about 2" off the end of a pipe stem. The small pieces will be used to hold the “snowballs” together; the long pieces will be used for the scarf.

  2. Make two “snowballs” out of the white air-dry clay. One “snowball” should be slightly smaller than the other.

  3. Use wiggly eyes and other collage materials to create the snowman’s face and hat on the smaller “snowball.”

  4. To the larger “snowball”, add buttons, Wikki Stix for arms and other fun collage materials.

  5. Push one end of the small pipe stem into the top-center of your snowman’s body, approximately halfway down. Now take the head “snowball” and place it onto the exposed pipe stem on top of the body. Push the head and body together.

  6. Wrap the longer pipe stem around your snowman’s neck and twist the ends to create a fun scarf.

  7. Your snowman is finished!
