Valentine's Day Mobile

Valentine's Day is only one week away and we are thrilled to share this week's craft idea from our friends at Lakeshore Learning. It's super easy and so darn cute. Have fun with this one!

Directions
  1. Make several copies of the Valentine Hearts Template on a variety of different colors of construction paper. Then have students cut out four or five heart shapes in colors and sizes of their choice to create their mobiles.

  2. Encourage students to decorate the hearts with glitter.

  3. Help students punch a hole in the top and bottom of each heart shape that they want to use. Thread a string through the hearts, tying the string off at each hole so that the hearts are positioned at any point on the string that they like. (Note: Some students may want to create concentric heart mobiles, positioning smaller hearts inside larger ones, while others may want their hearts to simply hang separately on the string.)

  4. When students are finished, hang the mobiles from the classroom ceiling for Valentine’s Day!
